Social Normalization: Strengthening Political Dialogue and Depolarizing Public Discourse

As a part of the project “Social Normalization: Strengthening Political Dialogue and Depolarizing Public Discourse”, supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation Program: Civica Mobilitas, ISSHS engaged in public policy advocacy and party alliances about the depolarization of the public discourse.  Strategies were developed how to establish supra-party alliances in the local places between civil organizations and political parties.

There were 3 public debates and 3 workshops organized in the towns of Valandovo, Bitola and Gostivar:  

– November 14, 2019 – debate on the topic “What future awaits the Municipality of Valandovo?”

– November 15, 2019 – workshop in Valandovo “The effects of polarizing discourse”

– November 28, 2019 – debate “What are we doing about the pollution in Bitola?”

– November 29, 2019 – workshop in Bitola “The effects of polarizing discourse”

– February 24, 2020 – debate on the topic “What can keep the young people in Gostivar?”

– February 24, 2020 – workshop in Gostivar “The effects of polarizing discourse”
